Patride

Restaurant food

Your places, still hot

Food delivery works when it reaches the places people actually eat at, which are mostly not the ones with a marketing budget.

What you get

Ordinary places, not just the ones with a marketing budget

A delivery platform that only carries chains tells you very little about where to eat, because the places worth eating at in most African cities are small, local and have never had a listing anywhere. Vendors join as themselves and are rated by the neighbours who order from them.

The same riders

The rider bringing your food is the same rider who brings gas and groceries. One network, kept busy across every hour of the day, is what makes delivery affordable at all — a rider who only carries lunch is idle for twenty hours and somebody pays for that idleness.

Questions about restaurant food delivery

How long does food delivery take?

It depends on the restaurant’s own preparation time and how far away you are. The app shows the status of the order and the rider on the map rather than a countdown it cannot honour.

Can I order from more than one restaurant at once?

Each order goes to one vendor, because a rider collecting from two kitchens means the first meal is cold. Place them separately and they can arrive together.

The apps are in testing

Patride is being tested on iOS and Android now, market by market. If you want to be told when it opens where you are — or you sell restaurant food and want to be on it — the contact page is the way to say so.
