Terms of service

Last updated 14 August 2026

These terms apply when you order through Patride in Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Uganda or Tanzania. Ordering means you accept them.

What Patride is

Patride connects you with independent shops and independent riders. The shop supplies the goods; the rider carries them. We operate the platform, take the payment, and are responsible for the service working as described here.

Your account

You sign in with a code sent to your phone or email — there is no password. Anyone holding that code can sign in as you, so do not pass it on. Patride will never ask you for it. Not support, not a rider, not a colleague. If someone does, they are not us.

Orders and prices

Gas cylinders, specifically

A refill is an exchange: the rider brings a full, safety-checked cylinder and takes your empty one away. Have the empty ready. A cylinder that is damaged, out of certification, or not the size ordered may be refused at the door, and we will tell you why.

LPG is dangerous when mishandled. Follow the safety guidance supplied with your cylinder. Do not ask a rider to install, connect or repair equipment — they deliver cylinders and are not gas fitters.

Cancelling, and what happens to your money

What you agree to

Where we stand if something goes wrong

We are responsible for the platform working, for taking payment correctly, and for putting right an order that fails because of us. Goods are supplied by the shop and are subject to the consumer protection law of your country, which these terms do not reduce.

We are not liable for indirect losses — a missed appointment, lost earnings — arising from a late or failed delivery.

Which law applies

The law of the country you ordered in. Nothing here removes a right that your national consumer law gives you.
