Patride delivers cooking gas, groceries, water, medicines and errands in Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Uganda and Tanzania. This page explains what we collect, why we hold it, who else sees it and how long it stays.

What we collect, and why

WhatWhy we need it
Your phone number or email addressIt is how you sign in. Patride has no passwords — we send a six-digit code to the number or address you enter, and that code is the credential.
Your nameSo the rider knows who to hand the order to, and so support can find you when you call.
Delivery addresses, and their map coordinatesTo find shops near you, price the delivery leg honestly by distance, and get a rider to your door. Landmarks you add are shown to the rider, because in much of these markets a landmark gets someone to a gate and a street name does not.
A contact number per addressThe number the rider calls on arrival. Held against the address rather than the account, because the person receiving a delivery is not always the person who ordered it.
Your orders and paymentsTo fulfil them, to show you your history, and because financial records must be kept for tax and audit.
Ratings and comments you leaveThey feed the score used to rank vendors and to decide which riders are offered work.

What we never hold

Card numbers. Card payments happen on the payment provider’s own page. The card details are never sent to Patride and never stored by us. We keep the provider’s reference for the payment, the amount, and whether it succeeded.

If you drive or sell with us

Riders and vendors give more, because the work requires it: identity documents, a driving licence, vehicle details, LPG safety certification, a photograph taken at sign-up to check it is the same person, and bank or mobile-money details so we can pay you. These are seen only by staff whose role includes reviewing them, and access to them is recorded.

While a rider is carrying an order, their location is recorded so the customer waiting can see the delivery approach. That trace is tied to that one order, is not available through any public part of the platform, and is deleted after 30 days. Location is not recorded when a rider is off shift.

Who else sees your data

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s advertising.

How long we keep it

What you can ask us to do

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. Write to privacy@patride.com and we will respond within 30 days. Deleting the account stops all mail from us — there is no marketing list to leave separately, because we do not send marketing.

Children

Patride is not for people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. Some of what we deliver — LPG cylinders, pharmacy items — is not lawfully sold to minors.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that affects you, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect rather than only editing this page.
